My name is JS, and I’m a self-taught contemporary composer based in Ottawa, Canada.

My journey into composition began as a teenager, inspired by a diverse range of films and composers from various backgrounds.

I compose, arrange, and produce music across a wide spectrum of genres, including contemporary classical, popular music, and compositions for film, television, games, and theatre.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with many talented Canadian musicians and artists. My work has been commissioned, performed, and recorded by several prestigious Canadian orchestras.

I believe music holds incredible power—not just in how it’s shared physically, but in its ability to evoke emotions, trigger memories, and spark the imagination.
